But… why?
Why a maths blog? It‘s all rather self-indulgent really: I want to revise certain aspects of basic maths, and since the best way to learn something deeply is to write about it or teach other people, I’ve started this journal. If others can gain something along the way, that’s ideal. Most of the material will either be at high school level or not much above to begin with, since I’ve got a lot of revision to do; I’m also a rather untalented mathematician, so the explanations will be pitched at novices.
The focus will be on geometry, especially as it applies to computer graphics. After that I’ll explore less familiar areas. I’ll occasionally veer off into related areas such as analytic geometry, vectors and matrices, even topology.
